Events at Club Chelsea are delighted to have received the esteemed accolade, proving the team’s commitment to sustainability
The Green Meetings Standard, facilitated by Green Tourism, provides either bronze, silver or gold accreditations to organisations who are truly invested in sustainable practices and operations.
Green Meetings have built a robust framework of criteria to facilitate the accreditation scheme, and have aligned this with the UN’s universally recognised sustainability goals.
To complete the process, the Events and ESG teams worked closely with in-house catering and production, compiling evidence for the assessment. The Club received a bespoke report on its sustainability performance along with the new award.
The team are especially pleased to have moved from a bronze to a silver certificate in the space of just one year.
Since onboarding Chris Goodwin as our ESG manager we have taken great strides forward in communicating our sustainability efforts which we have been undertaking behind the scenes for many years. We are delighted to be recognised by Green Meetings who have paved the way in setting standards for sustainability across the industry
