Events at Club Chelsea were thrilled to support on the delivery of an outstanding pitch event for a great cause.
On Saturday, 25 May, 50 tradespeople took part in ‘Match for the Mind’ at Stamford Bridge, a charity football tournament raising money for the mental health charity, Mind.
IronmongeryDirect, the event organiser, took action after its latest Mental Health in the Trades report revealed that 82% of tradespeople experience some form of mental health problem due to work.
The event was attended by tradespeople from all over the country, as well as content creators from the the trade and football industries.
Using a bespoke pitch event package, Match for the Mind highlighted the benefits of exercise on mental health. Participants were organised into squads based on their trade for their exclusive football tournament on the iconic turf, with professional referees, photographers, personalised football shirts for each team, and medals for all participants.
Alongside the 7-a-side matches, additional fundraising activities were set up, with IronmongeryDirect donating extra money to Mind for each successful attempt at the penalty shootout and crossbar challenge.
During the day and once the tournament was complete, guests enjoyed premium hospitality provided by Events at Club Chelsea as part of the package.
