Leaders is a global network in sport, who connect industry leaders and create essential market intelligence to professionally develop sport on and off the field.
Chelsea has been the chosen venue to host the London Leaders Summit for over 10 years, due to being one of the world’s most recognised football clubs, our prestigious and accessible location in the heart of London and for our impeccable customer service.
The Event
The London Leaders Sport Business Summit saw 2000 delegates, from multiple countries across the globe gather for content and knowledge sharing seminars, alongside networking sessions and evening events.
Leaders exclusively hired out and branded the entire venue including the Great Hall and Canoville Suite, as well as Frankie’s Sports Bar & Diner, Delta Lounge and the on-site underground music venue, Under the Bridge, for evening events throughout the summit, including the Generation XX Red Carpet event at Under the Bridge on the. This event, in partnership with UEFA, held panel discussions around women’s sport, with special guests including ESPN host Alison Bender.
The Great Hall, our largest space at 1,400sqm, was set-up as exhibition space housing 23 exhibitors. The additional event spaces in the West Stand were used to host delegate workshops, panel discussions, Q&A sessions and media lounges.
The events team set-up a 400sqm inflatable dome in the forecourt of the stadium, which contained a 14m X 4m LED branded walled stage, which was the largest and most impressive stage to any Leaders event. The stage included interactive visual displays for panel discussions and key Leader insights. A smaller 64sqm dome was also set up as another smaller product launch stage with them both connected to the Great Hall via a bespoke tunnel.
To create a unique dining experience, Levy Restaurants UK produced exciting food stations with multiple food themes and live experiences which included grab and go bites such as granola pots and pastries, multiple street food stations serving Asian, Mexican, American, Spanish and Indian cuisine, and a dessert station where delegates could build their own rocky road.
Verdict
Working with the team at Chelsea is always a pleasure and being able to celebrate our 10th edition of the Leaders Sport Business Summit where it all began with such impact, was a testament to their team as well as the relationship we have built up over the years. No task was too big or small and despite all the obstacles the event was extremely successful.
